Mapping and Matching Resources To Your Information Needs

We form information habits in our work routines, resources we use as a go to, even if they are not necessarily the best.  Sometimes our access to resources changes. This workshop helps match resources to clinical needs, paying attention to resources available through SMH. This course is an adaptation of Information Triage, a workshop for PGY’s at University of Toronto.

Course objectives: 

•    Develop habits the match your questions to the best database or web-crawler
•    Know the full range of databases and resources available at Unity Health Toronto
•    Formulate questions in language databases understand
•    Be aware of open-access resources to use when you are off-site or no longer at Unity Health

Target Audience: Clinicians and those supporting others in a clinical role

Prerequisite: Interest in topic only

Duration: 1 hour
