Deceased Donor

deceased donor or cadaveric donor involves transplanting the kidneys from an individual who has passed away. Before the transplantation can be done medical tests are performed on the donor’s kidneys to ensure it is suitable for transplantation. After the tests, kidney patients are put on a transplant waiting list until a kidney is found that is compatible to their body. Waiting time is hard to predict as it depends on the availability of kidneys or how hard it is to match.
