Strategic Plans, Mission and Vision Statements

‚ÄčWhat's a Strategic Plan, a Mission, a Vision?

From the HLWIKI Strategic Planning is: described as

"It is quite simply identifying where you want to go, why you want to go there, how you will get there, what you need in order to get there and how you will know if you're there (or not)" (http://hlwiki.slais.ubc.ca/index.php/Strategic_planning)

Put very simply:

A Mission can be defined as your overall purpose, what business are you in, what do you hope to achieve?

A Vision can be seen as where you're headed, and what will your business be like in 5 years (or however long your Stragetgic plan is relevant) and how you plan on getting there.
