How Do I Download Skype on a Computer or Laptop

1. Open the Internet browser on your device,for example Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Safari

2. Type www.skype.com in the address bar

3. Follow the Download instructions for your computer, cellphone or tablet
   

How Do I Download the Skype App (for Cell Phones or Tablets)

1. Tap the App Store (Apple) or Google Play Store (Android) on your device

2. Search for Skype app

   

3. Tap the Get button

4. Sign in with your Google Account/Apple ID to download Skype

5. Once you download Skype, the next step is to sign in to Skype
   
   

How Do I Sign into Skype 

To sign in to Skype, you need a free Skype account. 
If you don’t have a Skype account, you can create on. Read more in How to Create a Skype account.
If you already have a Skype account:

1.  Open the Skype app on your device

2.  Click or tap Skype name, email or phone

3.  Enter your Skype name, email or phone number and click Next

   

4. Enter your password and click or tap the arrow to continue. You’re now signed in to Skype
   
   
   Note: Skype will remember your sign in information when you close Skype or sign out. If you want to know how to sign out, read How to Sign out of Skype
    

How Do I Create a Skype Account

1. Open the Skype app on your device

2.  Click or tap Create Account

   

3. . Follow the steps on the screen to create a Skype account
   
   

How Do I Make a Call in Skype

1. To make a call, you need to be signed in to Skype

2.  Find the person you want to call from your Contacts list 

3.  If you don’t have any contacts, search the name, Skype name, or email of the person you want to call/chat with

4. Select the audio button if you want to make an audio call

5.  Select the video button if you want to make a video call

6.  At the end of a call, select the end call button to hang up
    

How Do I Answer a Call in Skype

To receive a call, you need to be signed into Skype. You will see an incoming call notification screen, where you can:

1.  Select the Call button to answer the call as an audio call 

2.  Select the Video button to answer the call as a video call 

3.  Select the End call button to end to call
    

How Do I Sign Out of Skype

1. Tap or click your profile picture

2.  Select Sign out

3. Choose Yes if you want to sign out and Skype to remember your username and password

4.  Choose No, if you want to sign out and Skype to delete your username and password

5.  Choose Cancel to stay signed into Skype
