The Health Science Information Consortium (the Consortium) is the largest health information related consortium in Ontario. It was founded in 1990 to strengthen the relationship between the University of Toronto Libraries (UTL) and the libraries of health care institutions affiliated with the University's Faculty of Medicine. Over the last 30 years, the Consortium's membership has grown to include UTL affiliated and non-affiliated institutions.
HSIC members collaborate to provide specialized services and cost effective access to online health information resources to over 90,000 health care professionals, educators, researchers, and students.
