Blood Pressure Management

Blood pressure control is important in slowing the progression of chronic kidney disease, and lowering the risk of cardiovascular disease. Interventions aimed to managing blood pressure are focused on two mains areas: lifestyle modification and medications.

Blood pressure targets could differ depending on the presence of other CVD risk factors.  They are also individualized based on age, existing cardiovascular issues, and progression of chronic kidney disease.
