The Canadian Patient Safety Institute works with governments, health organizations, leaders, and healthcare providers to improve the quality and safety of healthcare in Canada. Reports and toolkits on a variety of topics are avaialble on their website.

The Health Council of Canada is a pan-Canadian body that monitors and reports on the progress being made to improve health care in Canada and identifies best practices and innovation. The council no longer operating.

Health Quality Ontario (HQO) is an independent government agency that: monitors and reports on access to publicly funded health services, health human resources in publicly funded health services, consumer and population health status, and health system outcomes; supports continuous quality improvement; and makes recommendations on clinical practice guidelines and protocols, and funding for health care services and medical devicesto health care organizations and the provincial government.

The Commission has an extensive library of resources - from medication charts and labels, fact sheets and user guides, to consensus statements and comprehensive reports.
