What is EndNote?

EndNote is a bibliographic management software package – a database designed specifically to handle citation information.

It can be used:

  • to keep track of references
  • to cite references quickly and easily from within a word processor
  • to format and reformat reference lists easily from within a word processor as a searchable catalog for your reprint files

Export Citations from PubMed

Step 1) Make sure the EndNote library is open

Step 2) Select the records you want to export (up to 10,000 records are selected by default if you do not select anything)

  • From the Send to option,  choose Citation manager
  • Click on Create File
  • Open the file
