Medline Training

Now that you have found some relevant references it's time to do something with them!

Ovid MEDLINE allows you to print, email, export, or add your references to a projects folder. You can check off individual references you want to use, type in a range, or select all of your references by clicking 'All' (see below).

Save your searches

Registering for a free Ovid account will allow you to save your search strategies. All that time you took searching for individual terms will not be wasted! You can come back months later and re-run the search without having to build it again.

Storing your references

To store your references, there are many different reference management tools to choose from.

Endnote is a personal database to store citations from different information sources. Use the software to find full-text PDFs, automatically format in-text citations, reference lists, and more!

Endnote is free to any SMH staff member. If it's not already on your PC, ask your administrator to place a ShopICT request.

The Health Sciences Library frequently offers interactive Endnote workshops. Check out the Library Workshop Guide to find out more, or visit our Endnote Resource Guide.
