The libraries of Unity Health Toronto (BMO Resource Centre in the Knowledge Centre at Providence Healthcare, The George Pennal Library at St. Joseph’s Heath Centre and the Scotiabank Health Sciences Library at St. Michael’s Hospital) are integrating into one library service.
A comprehensive needs assessment is currently underway to assess how we can best meet the needs of our staff, physicians, and students across all three sites. If you are interested in being involved, please contact Naz Torabi, Information Specialist, to express your interest in participating in an interview or 45 minute group consultation conversation
Following this assessment, we will develop and share a comprehensive plan covering both library services and library resources. In the interim, due to licensing, contract and copyright law, resources available to staff are specific to the site they are primarily affiliated with.
As of Aug. 2, the three library sites will be open Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with after-hours access at all three (contact your site’s library for details). Library staff will be on site at Providence and St. Joseph’s on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. At all other times, call (416) 860-6060 ext. 5059 to speak with staff.
