Mobile Download Installation
First create a user name and password on the website then follow the instructions below.
1. Open the app store on their mobile device.
2. . Search for STS Cardiothoracic E-Book and download the app by Unbound Medicine.
3. Once downloaded, open and enter in the username and password created online.
Medscape Reference (eMedicine) The largest and most current clinical knowledge base available freely to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Opioid Manager (The National Pain Centre) A point of care tool which distills onto one double-sided page, essential information and advice from the Canadian Guideline for Safe and Effective Use of Opioids for Chronic Non-Cancer Pain. To be used for prescribing opioids for chronic non-cancer pain.

EBMcalc (formerly MedCalc 3000) This link opens in a new window EBMcalc is a special computerized medical tool. It includes many useful medical formulas, clinical criteria, and decision-making tools that doctors, nurses, and medical students use daily. EBMcalc helps detect and reduce medical errors.

CPS (formerly RxTx) This link opens in a new window Contains the Canadian Pharmacists Association's (CPhA) publications Therapeutic Choices, the Compendium of Pharmaceuticals and Specialties, and Information for Patients, as well as, Lexi-Interact(Lexicomp's Comprehensive Interaction Analysis Program). Access to the CPS mobile App
Go to: www.pharmacists.ca/register
- Enter your existing username and password. If you do not have one, please create an account.
- You will receive a “welcome” email asking you to create your CPhA password—follow the instructions
- Once your password has been set, visit the “profile” icon located at the top right of the page and select “profile” from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the “Set Mobile Enterprise Code” section.
- Enter the Organization Code 0021432 and set a CPS password. Click on the “Next” button
- You are all set! Download the CPS mobile app on your device and use your email address and the password you just created to login.

These steps are only required once you have installed the app on your device for the first time. To download the content, please ensure your device is connected to WIFI.

1. |While connected to the UHN network,, access the STAT!Ref and create your Profile, enter an email address, a password and click register before attempting to use one of the available apps.
2. Profile has now changed to; Welcome: Your Name Here! - select the Anywhere Login Account from the drop menu next to your name.
3. Click the [ACTIVATE] button to enable your personalized profile account as an Anywhere Login Account.
4. From your device download the STAT!Ref i app from Google Play or iTunes App Store and log in with your Profile/Anywhere Login Account.
5. When it is time to renew your account, for security reasons, you will need to access TDS Health/STAT!Ref through your institution. You cannot renew a Profile/Anywhere Account while using this type of account.
