Different Types of Literature Reviews

This workshop provides an overview of the different types of literature reviews such as systematic, meta-analytic, scoping, realist, and rapid reviews. Participants will learn about the different methodologies and reporting guidelines for the various review types, key points to consider before undertaking one, and how to decide what type of review is right for their research question. 

Course Objectives:
By the end of this workshop, learners will be able to:

  • Identify the key components of different types of literature reviews
  • Select the most appropriate review methodology for their research question
  • Understand the steps involved in conducting a literature review
  • Articulate why it is essential to follow methodological guidelines when carrying out a comprehensive literature review
