A Whole New World (of Open Science): Learn how to use the Open Science Framework

There are many open science tools out there, with Open Science Framework (OSF) being one of the most popular and for good reason. This course will explain what OSF is and how you can use it to better facilitate the organization and dissemination of your research. In addition, you will learn how to effectively use OSF to search for pre-existing research on your topic. This workshop will take a practical approach and provide demos for three components of OSF: OSF Home, Registries and Preprints. Throughout the session, you will learn key tips and tricks to using OSF and the importance of utilizing open access tools for your research.

Learning Objectives:

This course will help you:

  • Understand what Open Science Framework (OSF) is and how to use it
  • Create a project page within OSF
  • Register your knowledge synthesis review
  • Upload your preprint

Prerequisite: None.

Audience: All staff and students, but best suited for those who are involved in research.
